Microsoft HomeOS controlling Z-Wave devices using the Vera2

Microsoft has decided to not only stand on the side and see everybody else join the smart home energy saving house market and then, as they sometimes do, purchase a company and turn it to a profitable business. This time they are "early" in the game and show with the demo of HomeOS that they atleast has the research money.
But I still dont want a power sucking PC (with a lot of running parts) running 24/7 with HomeOS to adjust a light (since I can do that on the light switch, mobile phone, web browser, voice), but read further for the good pieces, that might be coming...

I feel it's interesting that they mention commodity smart homes since that's realy what it has become even without ever taking off in large scale.

What I found most interresting is this video "Z-Wave devices with HomeOS using the Vera2 gateway." Yeah!!

All video's here:

In their report they mention e.g the Adaptive house, that is adjusting itselfand the Augmented reality of the house aspect. Interresting reading!
