Im not sure if my visitors would understand to press this round thing, but it's a good concept to re-use the power lines today and run a camera also there.

Revolv shows how to integrate Google Glass with your Home Automation.

A nice demo of the features that you can do, like playing music on your Sonos. Lock the door and control the lights. All voice controlled.

Miele@Home Con@ctivity, Or how to fully automate your kitchen.

The Miele line of household appliances is offering connectivity over power line. Some use case is simple things like starting the kitchen fan when the stove in on. Start oven from the mobile etc. Mieles system is communicating over powerline technology (that I have had some challenges with earlier http://868mhz.blogspot.fi/search/label/Powerline) What I just learned is that is seems like Miele is communicating with XML so something like Vera home automation gateway could control your kitchen, in theory. I hope somebody will play with this and let the rest of us know the result.
